2017 Third Circuit Judicial Conference

Continuing Legal Education (CLE)


Courses eligible for CLE credit will be offered on all three days of the conference: 3 hours on Wednesday, April 19; 5.5 hours on Thursday, April 20; and 3.5 hours on Friday, April 21. Ethics credit will be available on Friday, April 21.

The Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board and the Delaware Commission on Continuing Legal Education have approved the Judicial Conference for 12 hours of CLE, including 2 hours of ethics credit (for Professional Ethics in the Appellate Process, Friday, April 21, 8:30 am – 10:30 am). The New Jersey Board on Continuing Legal Education has approved the Judicial Conference for 14.4 hours of CLE credit, including 2.4 hours of ethics credit. Both New York and New Jersey offer reciprocity for courses approved by Pennsylvania and Delaware. The Third Judicial Circuit is an approved provider of CLE pursuant to U.S. Virgin Islands Supreme Court Order.


Pennsylvania

For credit from Pennsylvania, attendees must submit the Pennsylvania CLE Credit Request Form with the required fee to the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board. Copies of the Credit Request Form will be available at the Judicial Conference registration/information desk.

Other Jurisdictions

Individuals seeking CLE credit from Delaware, the Virgin Islands, New Jersey, or New York must sign in and out on the attendance sheets for each of the sessions. The attendance sheets will be at the entrances of the meeting rooms. Certificates of attendance will be available upon request. Please submit any such requests to the Circuit Executive’s Office following the Conference.
